So here it is then – the eruption. In my ruminations I didn´t consider Iceland to be already a very active region regarding volcanoes. Fearridden as I sometimes am I thought it would mean old volcanoes getting back to live. This is maybe the better solution as it doesn´t kill people? I´m not sure as I don´t know how the Icelanders think about the eruption.

Yesterday I wondered if NASA will measure the rotation of earth after the eruption and if enough masses of lava got onto the face of earth to change anything regarding the earth-axis and the rotation. Does anyone have an answer?
